CCPL 2008 Tournament Classifications

Pro:
Any player who has played Pro more than once within the previous two
seasons (2007, 2006)

D1:
Any player who has played D1 (any league) more than once within the
previous 2 seasons

D2:
Any player who has played D2 more than once nationally or locally. 

D3:
Any player who has played D3 more than once nationally or locally.

D4: (Last Year's Novice)
- Any player who has played D4 more than once nationally or
locally
- Any player who has more than 13 CCPL seed points from Rookie/D5 from a previous season.

D5: (Last Year's Rookie)
- Any player over 16 or who has played D5 more than once.
- Any player who has more than 13 CCPL Young Guns seed points from a previous season.

Young Guns:
- Any player that has not played in any other division nationally or locally, is under the age of 17 the date of the event and has less than 13 CCPL seed points from a previous year.

Reclassification of a player:
- If 1 year to the day of the event passes without a player playing any events the CCPL may reclassify a players to a lesser division, no lower that D4.

Interdivisional play:  A team may consist of the following players.
- D5 5 man= 5 D5 players or
                  3 D5 players and 2 D4 players or
                  4 D5 players and 1 D4 player.  
                 
- D4/D3 5 man= 5 D4 players or
                      4 D4 players and 1 D1 player or
                      3 D4 players and 2 D2 players or
                      4 D4 players and 1 D2 player or
                      2 D4 players and 3 D3 players or
                      3 D4 players and 2 D3 players or
                      4 D4 players and 1 D3 player or
                      3 D4 players, 1 D2 player and 1 D3 player
- D5 3 man= 3 D5 players or
                 2 D5 players and 1 D4 player
- D4/D3 3 man= 3 D4 players or
                      2 D4 players and 1 D3 player
                      2 D4 players and 1 D2 player
- Young Guns= only young guns.

 

*****NOTES*****

  1. Once a player plays in a higher division MORE THAN ONCE that player will be reclassified to the higher division.
  2. Once a player hits 13 seed points in a season that player must move up to the next division.
  3. CCPL reserve the right to reclassify any player at any time as we see fit to defend the integrity of YOUR league.

 

 

Seed Points are as follows:

  1. 1st place = 4 points
  2. 2nd place = 3 points
  3. 3rd place = 2 points
  4. 4th place = 1 point

Seed Points:

  1. Every player will begin each season with zero (0) seed points.
  2. Players will begin each season in the division determined by seed points from the previous year.  Example: Player A is 15 years old and has 14 seed points from the young guns division in the 2007 season, Player A must move up to the D5 division for the 2008 season.
  3. Seed points are given to each player on the teams that place 1st – 4th at each CCPL event.
  4. Seed points for the 2007 have been calculated to determine players 2008 classifications.

**NOTE**
If your classification for the 2008 season has been effected by your seed points from the 2007 season you will be contacted via email by a CCPL staff member.
