Personnel and staff
Callisto has a well-respected research and
management team with many years of experience in the pharmaceutical
and biotechnology industry. Members of the management
team have particular
experience in the development of anti-cancer agents, including the
platinum anticancer drug ParaplatinTM and genasense. The
team has specialized in early stage research and development, having
successfully identified and developed preclinical drug canidates
and brought them to the clinic. The management team was also responsible
for preclinical discovery of
UT231B, a drug
currently in human testing for hepatitis C by United
Therapeutics.
